Your journey begins with a stroll through the historic heart of old Kuching city, where you’ll pass bustling spice shops, the Main Bazaar with its vibrant textiles and handicraft stores and encounter a variety of significant historical buildings from the past. Following your walk, hop aboard a River Taxi (pontoon boat river cruise) for a one-hour cruise along the picturesque Sarawak River. It is a memorable way to bring you back in time; the time when the English adventurer, Sir James Brooke first set sailed in this region in 1839 with his yacht the “Royalist”.
