The shelter is the mid-point of the journey for you to cross over into Indonesia the next day to a site which used to be inhabited by the Kelabit tribe. (They have since moved to Pa’Ukat and Pa’Lungan) more than 50 years ago during the 2nd World War, during which time, the Japanese occupied Sarawak. Overnight at a jungle shelter.

We have an early trek today to cross over Long Midang to the Indonesian territory. Trek time is around 5 hours and will cross over one hill (Ra’an Bulu) which marks the Malaysian/Indonesian boundary, with a stop at a bamboo plantation for lunch.
