Itinerary

In the morning, enjoy a scenic drive to Bako Fishing Village Jetty, where you will board an exciting, motorized boat. The boat ride takes you to marvel at the abundant natural beauty of Sarawak’s most popular National Park. Trek along the trails to spot wildlife in its natural surroundings including the proboscis monkeys, the monitor lizards, bearded pigs, silvered leaf monkeys and more than one hundred species of birds. The stunning tropical rainforest ranges from the mangrove swamp forest to kerangas (health forest) to cliff and beach vegetations. Exotic plants found along the trails includes several species of pitcher plants and wild orchids. Lunch will be served at the park’s canteen. After lunch, continue to explore the wildlife and vegetation surrounding the Park Headquarters or check out some of the shorter trails nearby. Dinner will be served at the park’s canteen. Overnight at the lodge.

Breakfast will be served at the Park’s Canteen. After breakfast embark on a guided trek along the Lintang trail. This 5.25km journey, taking approximately 3.5 hours round trip, offers a fantastic introduction to the diverse wild plants of Sarawak, showcasing various types of vegetation. Along the sandy paths of the plateau, you’ll encounter pitcher plants, and a designated rest point along the trail provides stunning views of the mangrove forest and the sea. Lunch will be served at the Park’s Canteen. Following lunch, continue your adventure with jungle trekking to discover more of the region’s unique flora and fauna, before settling in for the night at the Lodge.

Enjoy a leisurely moment after breakfast before heading back to Kuching.

REMARK: Bako tour is subject to weather permits and is not recommended during the monsoon season (November to February). The tour is very much depending on tidal conditions

Note: Do Not Swim at the Park’s Beaches. There have been several sightings of estuarine crocodiles at the beaches and bays in Bako.
