Tour Plan
Day 1 - Racer Cave Adventure: Conquer the Dark and Meet the Wildlife
To fully experience the intermediate level Racer Cave, guests must arrive in Mulu in the morning and proceed to the cave in the afternoon. Led by a knowledgeable guide, visitors will climb up and down passageways using ropes. While upper body strength is necessary, most individuals are able to navigate the cave successfully. Discovering one's abilities and overcoming physical challenges is an exhilarating feeling that visitors can expect to encounter. The dark and fascinating environment is home to unique animal life, including insects with peculiar shapes that rely on long feelers to navigate their underground habitat, and Racer Snakes that have adapted to catching prey mid-flight.
Day 2 - Clearwater Connection: Journey Through the Wild Chambers
The Clearwater Connection is a challenging 4.8km journey that typically takes between 6 to 8 hours to complete. The adventure begins in the show cave section of the Cave of the Winds before adventurers leave the easy paths behind and enter the "wild" chambers. The terrain is rugged, with boulders strewn about and requires some climbing up and down muddy slopes. Visitors will also need to swim back and forth across the underground river. To ensure safety, fixed ropes are in place in hazardous areas, and guides carry personal ropes to assist visitors in sections that require climbing. The 1.5km river section is particularly noteworthy for many visitors.
Day 3 - Leisurely Farewell: Enjoy Free Time Before Departure
Day 3 of the itinerary is a free day for guests to relax until their transfer to Mulu airport.
